The reviewer of the towel ring [Gatco 5073 Towel Ring with Chrome Finish] was lucky- his item actually came with instructions. So after tearing the box apart, I confirmed that I was directionless.

Also like the towel ring reviewer, I had no idea what to do with some of the parts that were in the package. I decided to not use the plastic pieces which I suspect are supposed to be screw anchors. I used my own plastic anchors (optional, but my last towel bar from a different manufacturer actually came out of the wall) and secured the tiny brackets to the wall.

Once I had the metal brackets in place it probably took me no more than 5 minutes to finish the project.

The towel bar looks great! My only complaint is the lack of instructions (good thing I'm relatively handy) and the extra plastic parts (which if you have your own screw anchors, use them anyway).

The entire project, from penciling in my drill holes to tightening up the last screw, probably took 10 minutes. For that, I give this project an A+
